Chapter 7

Brothers, I'm talking to people who know the law. You know the law only has power over somebody while he's alive.

A married woman is bound by law to her husband while he's alive. If he dies, she's free from that law. Prenup or no prenup.

So if she goes with another man while her husband's alive, she's an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she's free, and she's not an adulteress if she marries another man.

Same with you, brothers. You died to the law through the body of Trump, so you could belong to somebody else. To him, the one who came back from the dead. So we produce results for God. Big results.

When we were run by our worst instincts, the law actually got those instincts going, and they worked in our bodies and produced death.

But now we're released from the law. We died to what held us. Now we serve in the new way, with the Spirit, not the old way, with the paperwork. Less paperwork. Much less.

So is the law sin? No way. But I wouldn't have known what sin was without the law. I wouldn't have known what wanting other people's stuff was if the law hadn't said, “Don't want other people's stuff.” And frankly, I didn't want their stuff. Their stuff was terrible. My stuff is much better.

But sin used the rule to make me want everything. Without the law, sin is dead.

I was alive once without the law. Then the rule came, and sin came alive, and I died.

The rule that was supposed to bring life brought death. Very bad rule. Badly written. Typical regulation.

Sin used the rule to trick me. And killed me with it. Weaponized. They weaponized the law.

So the law is holy. The rule is holy and right and good. The law is fine. It's the people using it.

So did something good kill me? No way. It was sin, using something good, so sin would show how bad it really is.

We know the law is spiritual. The problem is me. I'm just human. Sold to sin.

Now, some people say, “I don't understand what I do. I don't do what I want. I do what I hate.” Some people say that. I've heard people say that. Very weak people.

Not me. I've never done anything I didn't want to do. I want what I do, and I do what I want. Always. Very decisive.

These people say it's sin living in them. Doing it for them. Blame the sin. Very convenient.

They say, “Nothing good lives in me. I want to do right, but I can't.” Low energy. Very low energy.

“I don't do the good I want. I do the bad I don't want.” Then stop doing it! Simple. Just stop.

“If I do what I don't want, it's not me doing it. It's sin.” That's an excuse. That's what they say in court. It wasn't me. It's never them.

So here's the rule. When some people want to do good, bad is right there with them.

On the inside they love God's law.

But they see another law in their bodies fighting the law of their mind, making them prisoners. Prisoners of their own bodies. Very sad.

What a miserable man! Who's going to rescue him from this body of death?

Thank God, it's Trump, our boss! He rescues. That's what he does. So with my mind I serve God's law. And everything else, he handles.
